A photo taken sometime in mid 2011, before a huge disruption in life… thinking back on those times when things were a lot simpler, and not having a clue as to what could possibly lie ahead of me. Over the course of the last 1.5 years, I’ve dealt with unbelievable situations and circumstance. I’ve pulled energy and strength from deep within, never thinking I’d make it through until the next day. But now, I am tired. I need a break. Unfortunately I cannot get one due to the stupidity and utter lack of respect and common sense from the people that surround me… I can...

The doors are closed for good. Seen in an old textile mill, somewhere buried in the foggy rural hills of Maryland… I’m trying to catch up on posting here but life gets in the way of time on the interweb. Funny, it should really be the interweb getting in the way of life – which is why you won’t find all those funny little social media icons all over the site here. No need for all that. I’m fine and happy with my own little space here, thankyouverymuch.
Uh oh, I’ll end this post here.
Life is good. Go live it :)

Reminiscent of Grand Central Station in NYC, here stands the recently restored clock in the middle of the main concourse at Buffalo Central Terminal. This photo was taken on a recent tour with my super-wide angle lens to capture the greatness of the space in which it resides. The restoration of BCT is coming along nicely and hats off to the CTRC for doing such a great job.

Playing tourist in 107˚ heat is not very fun. There are not many people around in that kind of heat, so in that respect it CAN be fun. I took a short trip out to Las Vegas for work last week and wandered around “downtown” to get away from the usual tourist crowd. A quick run to see the Pawn Stars and then on to eat the best Thai food I’ve had in my entire life… then a ride back uptown with a horny cab driver topped the night off. Wait, that didn’t sound right. Well, whatever :)

Going through an old archive I came across some of the first photos I took of the Peace Bridge. Practicing some night photography and long exposures, my gear wasn’t the best but I managed to pull off a few decent shots I suppose.
This picture was taken long before the new LED lighting, so I decided to do a monochrome conversion to even out some rather odd color casts in the lighting. It’s not something I do often, but I like the feel it gave to this particular shot. Oh, and I like how the moon shows a bit more in the BW conversion :)

Happy Holidays! It’s the cliché bokeh light blur… well, it reminds me of the classic Lite Brite, with all the colorful little pegs. Do you remember that??
